遺傳物質的 Transcription and Translation
























The majority of genes are expressed as the proteins they encode. The process occurs in two steps:
  • Transcription = DNA  RNA
  • Translation = RNA  protein
Taken together, they make up the "central dogma" of biology: DNA  RNA  protein.

Summary

Gene expression occurs in two steps:
  • transcription of the information encoded in DNA into a molecule of RNA  and
  • translation of the information encoded in the nucleotides of mRNA into a defined sequence of amino acids in a protein
